Somewhere between the perfect pop song and the song that seems to have wandered in from another dimension, there’s a place where the interesting stuff happens.
This is a two-hour trip through new indie rock, jangle, post-punk, power pop, dreamier things, stranger things, and a few beautiful left turns. Familiar names, unfamiliar names, songs that grab you immediately, songs that sneak up on you.
There’s fuzz. There’s shimmer. There’s melancholy. There’s propulsion. There are guitars that sound like they need a little more sleep. There are songs that could break your heart and songs that might just make you turn the volume up.
